If you share a computer with others and would prefer not to have your Web browsing available to other users, you can modify Safari’s History settings to remove your browsing history after a specified period of time. Choose Safari ➪ Preferences from the menu and click the Remove History Items drop-down list under the General tab. Options include:
- After One Day
- After One Week
- After Two Weeks
- After One Month
- After One Year
- Manually
If you choose Manually, your history will be available until you empty the cached by choosing History ➪ Clear History from the Safari menu. If you wish completely prevent Safari from tracking your Web browsing activities, choose Safari ➪ Private Browsing from the Safari menu.

Your website appears but I’ve not learned to save Safari history. It use to save history, but I clicked to remove all history, all history was removed but now no history is saved. I’m using an iPad Air. I asked “How to save Safri history?”, but I cannot find “Choose Safari ➪ Preferences from the menu and click the Remove History Items drop-down list under the General tab.”
Any other suggestions that will save my Safari history? Thank you.
