You may or may not have noticed that Google updated its Google Plus site today. But that’s not all – They have also updated their Google Currents iPad app as well.
If you’re not familiar with Google Currents, it’s Google’s answer to Flipboard. It delivers content from publisher editions such as TechCrunch, The Guardian, Popular Science, The Atlantic, and more – as well as your Google Reader subscriptions into stunning magazine-like editions for your iPad, which you can read offline. You also have the ability to include trending articles in a variety of topics using Google’s search technology.
Today’s update includes the following enhancements:
- Instant Sync while online
- Google Plus Sharing
- International Trending
- Read It Later support
- Google Translate (translate editions to your preferred language)
- Customize Sharing Options
If you haven’t downloaded the app, it’s definitely worth a look. It’s free, by the way.
Now if only they would come out with an iPad version of Google Plus…
